Are you a Cloud Architect with experience of working as a Solution Owner on projects and/or programmes?


As a Cloud Architect, you will join our new and growing team, which defines the solutions architecture for our developing Cloud Agnostic platform within our Aerospace, Defence & Secure Sector.


We are looking for a Cloud Architect with experience working in AWS & MS Azure to lead on a modern and innovative solution, capable of transforming the way managed services are delivered within the business.


Your role will be to leverage technical knowledge across best practices and new technologies to help our customers and colleagues realise the benefits of cloud-based services.


What you'll be doing:


  • Technical lead for a cloud agnostic platform, to be delivered across the Aerospace, Defence and Secure sector.
  • Design services to be used across major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
  • Understand customer requirements and translate these into advisory and/or managed service solutions, taking accountability for how the solution meets the customers' business requirements Provide recommendations and suggestions on areas for improvement forcloud implementation.
  • Build and maintain a positive relationship with the channel partners' internal technical teams.
  • Maintain and deploy current knowledge of the latest technology and cybersecurity trends related to AWS, MS Azure and Google Cloud.
  • Lead and present at customer opportunities and workshop sessions.
  • Host customer strategy meetings, including presenting solutions from a commercial and business perspective.
  • Ensure the implementation and monitoring of security best practices on cloud platforms in consultation with Information Security.
  • Act as an escalation point for technical leads across the team.
  • Manage the technology orientation process of new employees in the team.
  • Maintain a high level of industry awareness through training and selfdevelopment; keep up to date with current and future technologies, products, and strategies.

Cloud Practitioner

  • Be a driven individual, with a positive attitude to delivering new and innovative solutions.
  • An understanding of Microsoft AWS/Azure implementation options.
  • Knowledge of new and emerging cloudbased technologies and microservices.
  • An excellent understanding of the latest cloud engineering trends across AWS, MS Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Effective communication skills to articulate complicated cloud solutions to senior stakeholders across the ADS Sector.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum & Kanban).
  • Experience working with specific Agile tooling's such as Jira and Confluence.
  • A good understanding of how automated build templates/blueprints can be used to deliver SaaS.
