The primary purpose of the job is to enable adults with learning difficulties to live in their own home in the community, providing support based on their individual needs and preferences.


Job Profile


To work within a supported living project in providing a happy, supportive, and secure home for the person alongside offering activities the person enjoys and the opportunity to improve on independence skills and social skills.

To undertake a variety of tasks and high-quality support, daily living and personal
development opportunities. To flexibly respond to individual needs and aspirations and assist the

People We Support to have the maximum opportunities to direct the support provided to live as valued individuals in the Community.


Principal Responsibilities

  • To ensure delivery of all duties as per this job description
  • To ensure best practice in all service delivery across all areas of responsibility
  • To assist the supported living manager and Tenant to complete support plans and risk assessments
  • To complete daily entries as an accurate record
  • Competent in the administration of medication
  • To ensure weekly safety and maintenance checks are carried out and the correct action taken and documented
  • To work with Tenants both on an individual and group basis on a wide range of activities which meet the identified needs of the individual and which can contribute to securing a valued lifestyle for the person/people involved
  • To give assistance and support to Tenants to ensure they meet professional appointments
  • Promote the individual to enhance and develop their daily living skills including.
- help menu plan and assist with preparation or cooking as required
- washing and ironing of garments
- assistance of choosing and buying clothes
- bathing
- keeping their environment clean

  • To facilitate and enable Tenants to access and utilise the resources and activities available
within the community

  • To liaise on a regular basis with Tenants Families, Friends, Advocates, and any professionals as necessary
  • To ensure all Tenants are Safeguarded in accordance with local policies at all times
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties which are within the scope of this post
  • Ensuring the project is always clean and Cleaning Schedules are completed daily

  • You will be required to demonstrate that you are able to work well with others and
demonstrate respect towards your colleagues

  • Act as a positive role model to both Tenants and staff
  • Demonstrate flexibility to deliver a highquality service
  • Always demonstrate honesty and integrity
  • Understands the importance of maintaining professional boundaries
  • Deal with issues promptly and notifies the Team Leader if assistance is needed

From £12.50 per hour
