Theorise is looking for a Personal Assistant to work with one of our Glasgow based clients.

Working as part of Theorise external support team, the successful Personal Assistant will work on a one-to-one basis with a student to assist in cases of when the student takes seizues.

The Personal Assistant will be required to assist the student on campus and be proficiently first aid trained to assist should the student have a seizure.


Main duties and responsibilities

  • Provide onetoone support to a student, meeting them before class and working through their timetable to be on hand in cases of emergency.
  • Assisting the student in cases where seizures take place to provide support in administering medication.
  • To maintain a professional role as a Personal Assistant and be aware of the need to always maintain this positive but professional working relationship with the student.
  • Deliver support according to Theorise and each of our clients' guidelines and codes of conduct.
  • A flexible approach to working hours is required.
  • Manage paperwork effectively, i.e. completing time sheets and any reports required.
  • You will be expected to represent Theorise in a professional manner, this includes adhering to our policies regarding confidentiality and safeguarding.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience required

  • We expect you to have excellent communication and organisational skills, a willingness to support students with particular needs, and an approachable, patient and understanding manner.
  • Experience of working with students in a higher education environment or having experience in studying at college or university level is preferable.
  • Experience in working with individuals with epilepsy is essential as well as proficient first aid training.

Job Type:
Temporary contract


Salary:
£17.50 per hour
