Description

The London Aquatics Centre is looking for a Crèche Assistant to join our bank of flexible workers to provide a safe, stimulating, educational and fun environment for children attending the Crèche.

Our venue provides childcare and welfare for children of up to five years of age as well as providing support to their families, so it's imperative that the facilities and surroundings provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

High-quality care, education and a safe, yet enjoyable environment are of the utmost importance in our venue so your commitment to provide fun structured sessions and activities in line with GLL's Crèche Play and Learn brand will be key.

Good understanding of the challenges faced when working with children of different ages, abilities and cultures will be needed as you'll provide a welcoming and stimulating environment in order to deliver high quality childcare.

You'll have childcare experience covering differing age groups in various settings with a minimum NVQ/CACHE Level 2 in Childcare (or equivalent) with a First Aid at Work qualification.

It will be beneficial to have knowledge of Birth to Three Matters, Foundation Stages, Ofsted and Health & Safety legislation as well as the qualities that parents and guardians expect from childcare provision.

It goes without saying that you'll be friendly and approachable as well as being imaginative, creative and a positive role model to the children that you supervise.
