Responsible For:
The Arts Club Uniform Room, Front of House Public Area and Hotel


Job Summary:

To understand the essence and importance of hospitality within the Housekeeping Supervisor role.


Responsible for participating in all activities of the uniform room, laundry room, club public and staff areas and hotel to contribute to the smooth running of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring the highest levels of guest and staff service.


Main Responsibilities:

Ensure smooth running of the shift at the Housekeeping Department. Bringing to the attention of Executive Housekeeper any comments, any other issues as they occur throughout the day. Maintain the highest standards and where possible exceeding them. Looking after the Arts Club staff uniform rooms, laundry rooms, staff and public areas members and staff members. Monitoring uniforms stock and controlling dry cleaning service.


Daily Routine Duties:

Ø Supervises housekeeping staff as duties are being performed.

Ø Stock and maintains supply rooms, orders supplies according to a budget.

Ø Receives, process and handles guest complains in regards to housekeeping services.

Ø Ensure that the rooms are kept clean and free from hazards.

Ø Ensure that all common areas are clean and free from hazards.

Ø Organizing housekeeping staff during the day and host daily meeting with housekeeping staff.

Ø Assist guest with requests.

Ø Monitoring uniforms condition and stock level.

Ø Issuing uniforms for a new staff.


Health and Safety:


  • To be aware of and comply with safe working practices as lay down under Health and Safety Act as applicable to your place of work. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards at your work place.
  • The wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company will be obligatory.
  • To report any defects on the building, plant or equipment.
  • To ensure that any accidents to staff, guests or visitors are reported immediately in accordance with correct procedure.
  • To attend any Health & Safety trainings and be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning Fire, Health and Safety

To be fully conversant with:
COSHH regulations and Risk assessments for your departments.


Uniform Room Attendant
1) Taking care of staff changing rooms

2) Taking care of staff toilets

3) Receiving/issuing uniforms to the staff

4) Receiving/issuing uniforms to the dry cleaning driver

5) Uniform stock control

6) Minor tailoring jobs

7) Linen room

A basic disclosure (DBS check) may be requested in the event of a position being offered.
