Job summary
We are seeking a Consultant Geriatrician who would be dedicated and passionate in helping us to provide outstanding and exemplary care for frail older patients in the South West.
We can support you to develop your subspecialty interests and we fully support the development of skills in education, management and leadership.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate extensive experience in Medicine for Older People and must be in possession of CCT in General Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for the clinical management of patients under their care, and, in liaison with consultant colleagues, continuity of care when the post holder is absent.
Diagnosis and management of older patients presenting to the Trust with a wide range of conditions.
Additional speciality interest time as per candidate (subject to agreement with clinical lead after appointment, e.g. movement disorders, surgical liaison, orthogeriatrics, community, falls, dementia) amounting to approximately 1 clinical session.
Outpatient clinics: as per subspecialty interest, typically 1 week
