Cloud Imperium Games are on the lookout for a talented Barista for our bespoke coffee bar as part of our Studio Experience Team.

You will be joining a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic team to provide a great daily experience for the studio and be a part of one of the gaming industries most exciting ventures.

We're currently developing Star Citizen, a record-breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single-player adventure set in the same universe.

CIG's state of the art studio is in the heart of Manchester's newly developed Enterprise City in Spinningfields. You will be located on the 9th floor at our in-game inspired Voyager Bar.

We have industry leading equipment, multiple suppliers both local and nationwide to keep our service fresh while allowing our Baristas to work with new beans, be creative, and challenge themselves.

Sounds good, right? Well, it gets better

No cash handling everything from coffee to soft drinks, to breakfast is complimentary to all employees.
No uniforms this is a casual working environment, and we wear our own clothes (You even have the option of wearing one of the custom CIG hoodies or tshirts that all of our employees receive should you wish to do so).
No evening or weekend work this is a Monday to Friday job, with the latest finishing time of 5:30pm.
No hourly wage, no zero hours this is a full time, permanent, salaried position. You'll never be asked to go home early, or sacrifice pay.
28 days paid time off (including bank holidays) plus an additional 3 Global Company Holidays and full Christmas shutdown.

What do we expect from our Baristas?

The ability to work efficiently during high volume periods.
Demonstrate an understanding for dialling in and creating new and exciting recipes for espresso & filter/batch.
A good knowledge of the different styles and flavour notes of coffee beans, and how they work to enhance a variety of different drinks.
A strong work ethic; flexibility between making drinks, stocking up fridges, displaying food for events, amongst other tasks of a similar nature.
