We're looking for someone to step into the Assistant Head Bakers position at Farro. Starting in the new year

The position would be working alongside the Head Baker, managing the team and the day to day operations of the bakery.

As it stands, the job offered is to provide full time maternity cover for the year, with the scope for it to become a more permanent role down the line.

The Ideal baker should have experience in a similar role with great knowledge of baking processes, enjoy leading a team, have a passion for the craft and an attentive eye.

We're a small team who share multiple roles and responsibilities across the whole of the bakery production.

Solid experience with the lamination process, making viennoiserie products in a similar setting and being confident with pastry is absolutely essential.

A confidence with sourdough, scaling, mixing, shaping and baking a range of breads is also very desirable.

This role would suit someone who is detail oriented, has respect for flavour and provenance of ingredients, an interest in local food systems and is excited about innovating and collaborating alongside the head baker on new ways to incorporate freshly milled, local grains into our seasonal offering.

In return we can offer a Salary of 29K+ a year, depending on experience. 40 hours over a 4 day working week (Monday-Sunday) with paid overtime and many other benefits.
