About us
Worcester Diocesan Board of Finance supports the mission and ministry of the clergy and parishes within the Diocese of Worcester.
Could your next project role be working for the Church of England in Worcester?
This unique role will focus on Church Renewals.
You will support our Parishes as they plan building work, to equip our church buildings ready to fulfil their vision.
You will enjoy navigating design and statutory processes as a team, as you prepare these funded projects together.
You will become part of a small, friendly team who celebrate what is special about these historically significant buildings every day.
This unique role will help the amazing and skilled employees, clergy and volunteers in parishes navigate their projects, as we embark on a journey of transformation.
Day to day in this job you will:
- agree scope and outcomes for projects
- seek statutory consents
- prepare and manage works onsite
- monitor budgets and work with stakeholders
You will need project management skills gained in a Church/volunteer/community or charitable context. It will be essential that you have working knowledge of statutory planning and construction processes. Really important will be a heathy dose of confidence, patience and pragmatism.

Salary:
£17,648 (£35,296 full-time equivalent) plus a generous non-contributory pension
Location:
The post will be based at the Diocesan Office in central Worcester with some home working possible and considerable travel in the Dudley, Sandwell and Redditch areas.
