Working Pattern:
Monday - Friday 9-5

The difference you'll make

  • Support the Leasehold Asset Services Manager to ensure all maintenance, servicing and repair works for residential and commercial properties within the Home Ownership portfolio are delivered on time, within budget and to the required standards, providing efficient and effective technical expertise, contract management, planning and administrative support as required.
  • Draft programmes / schedules and cost profiles of repairs, minor works and void works and ensure these works are ordered and raised in line with procedures.
  • Investigate and action any formal complaints in your service area, managing and monitoring the performance of contractors and making recommendations for service delivery improvement.

So, who are you?

  • Experience in the building industry, ideally working within a customer focussed housing repair and maintenance team with a strong understanding of building maintenance terminology and repair activities.
  • Effective contract management skills including managing service and maintenance contracts.
  • Effective stakeholder management, both internally and external to the organisation, including the ability to successfully persuade and influence others.
  • Ability to use sound judgement when making effective decisions.
  • Relevant building, maintenance, compliance, or facilities management qualification e.g. HNC in Building
  • Relevant health and safety qualification e.g. NEBOSH General, or equivalent.
  • Relevant professional qualification.

Support the Leasehold Asset Services Manager to ensure all maintenance, servicing and repair works for residential and commercial properties within the Home Ownership portfolio are delivered on time, within budget and to the required standards, providing efficient and effective technical expertise, contract management, planning and administrative support as required.


Support the development and delivery of the reactive and planned program of works, collecting and analysing data for investment planning purposes, contributing to the maintenance of the Group's stock condition database, and producing reports to inform decision making.


Role Profile

  • Undertake repair and condition surveys for residential and commercial properties to assess defects and condition of works, both maintenance and structurally, identifying the most efficient and costeffective solutions to ensure standards are maintained in terms of quality and compliance.
  • Draft programmes / schedules and cost profiles of repairs, minor works and void works and ensure these works are ordered and raised in line with procedures.
  • Investigate and action any formal complaints in your service area, managing and monitoring the performance of contractors and making recommendations for service delivery improvement.
  • Identify any investment requirements to be funded via sinking and reserve funds are fed back to the planned investment team, ensuring all requests are agreed before use by business areas.
  • Act as focal point for Complaints, First Tier Tribunals (including attendance at tribunals), insurance, and legal claims, carrying out investigative work as appropriate including liaising with leaseholders and third parties, bringing cases to a satisfactory and timely conclusion where possible and recording the outcome using appropriate systems and in the agreed format.
  • To be the "initiator" of the Section 20 process (when required on reactive works) within the portfolio and respond to residents' observations where required, ensuring all investment works comply with Section 20 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and that requirements are understood by stakeholders and factored into delivery plans and compliance and consultation obligations are met
  • Where required, undertake pre and post repair surveys and ensure relevant details
