The Human Resources Advisor will provide advice and support to management and employees in all areas of the employee life cycle for both onshore and offshore employees on the project.

The job maintains a link between management and employees and provides a catalyst for implementing change and most appropriate HR practice.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide and manage the day to day operational HR support to the respective business areas in relation to employee related support to allow the business to best utilise its employees and contributions to the business. Specifically, this will be in the areas of recruitment, pay & benefits, communication, performance management, discipline, termination, record keeping and training and development.
  • Liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to provide generalist human resource advice and assistance, responding effectively to inquiries or requests and redirecting correspondence to the appropriate person.
  • Coordinating daytoday absence data and supporting the ongoing tracking of such including data analysis on a weekly basis, organising occupational health appointments and liaising with key stakeholders to ensure that the employees' return to work is managed successfully.
  • Supporting the HR Business Partnering team with employee relations cases, which includes taking minutes of meetings, participating in investigations, arranging hearings and collating case files for escalation.
  • Conducting exit interviews, maternity meetings, flexible working meetings in line with policy and ensuring all relevant information is recorded and fed back to key stakeholders.
  • Coordination of the project mailbox, which includes responding to general queries and preparing the necessary support to employees throughout the entire HR lifecycle.
  • Responsible for coordination with the HR Shared Services team on contracts, variations, system updates etc. to ensure accuracy, consistency and best practice.
  • Coordinate & work with the HR Business Partner on rate increases, annual compensation programmes, spot checking and reviewing for accuracy.
  • Occasionally support the Recruitment team with interviews and assessment days to ensure it is both value driven, follows process, and utilises existing resources.
  • Focal Point for the Apprentices, including liaising with all key stakeholders on the Oil and Gas Training Apprenticeship Programme (OGTAP).
  • Participate, engage and support on projects, where appropriate, to unlock success, continuous improvement and delivery of the HR Strategy.
  • Responsible for coordination with the HR Shared Services team on contracts, variations, system updates etc. to ensure accuracy, consistency and best practice.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong generalist HR experience
  • Degree qualified in Business/HR or related qualification
  • CIPD or specific Human Resources accreditation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and ensuring that all deadlines are met
  • Demonstrable ability to challenge in a constructive manner
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Ability to establish and develop excellent client relationships (internal and external) to promote trust and confidence
  • Have a proactive approach
  • Oil & Gas HR experience dealing with an offshore workforce (Desirable)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management (Desirable)
