We have a great opportunity for a Shipping Co-ordinator to join our Newark based client.

The Shipping Co-ordinator will handle the daily end to end process of international shipping including working knowledge of the logistics involved in shipping hazardous goods.

In This Role, You will

Providing delivery advice on the appropriate methods of transport considering any restrictions, customs, and hazardous goods.
Advising on the specific shipping requirements that will allow for a successful delivery.
Drawing up all commercial invoices, packing lists, and any additional documents as appropriate.
Advise on the correct packing and labelling of hazardous materials (mainly lithium batteries). Make the correct declarations and draw up Dangerous Goods paperwork.
Support the business with changes in trade rules.
Ensure compliance with international rules and regulations.
Working knowledge of IATA and ADR regulations.
Must have experience in a similar role.
Must have previous experience of import/export freight shipping and working knowledge of customs procedures.
An understanding of VAT rules.
Strong administration skills & Proficient in MS Office.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Working Hours are Monday to Friday with a Salary of £26,000 - £28,000 (dependant on experience)

£26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
