Assistant Accountant
Comber

- £30,000- £35,000 per annum**Reed Recruitment is excited to be working with a Manufacturing Company based in Comber. Our client is keen to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting to the Finance Manager the successful applicant will be responsible for completing the following duties:

Manage the AP/AR functions for the Group
Accrual accounting and journal management.
Prepare VAT and Intrastat returns and submit on a timely basis.
Complete all statistical returns.
Prepare monthly Balance sheet reconciliations for the Group
Prepare legal entity trial balances
Preparation of supporting schedules for Legal Entity financial statements.
Preparation of audit files for the external auditors and liaising with the auditors for the annual audit
To undertake other duties as may be reasonably required

Essential Criteria:

Part Qualified accountant or QBE
Strong interpersonal skills
Good communication skills
Strong IT and Excel skills are required
Diligent and able to work efficiently with attention to detail, within required timescales
Finance systems experience

Desirable:

Sage X3/Power BI
Microsoft Office

Benefits:

38.5 hours per week, 8am or 9am start time with a lunch time finish on Fridays
Hybrid working 2 days at home and 3 days in the office.
Salary is £30,000 £35,000 DOE
5% annual bonus
Annual Leave starts on 23 days (rising by 1 additional day per year to a maximum of 5) plus Bank Holsidays
5% Pension, Group Life Assurance and Healthshield
