£45,000-£50,000 DOE


Location:
Manchester/Wirral


Our client, a fast growth start up are looking to appoint a qualified Management Accountant to support the Finance Director.

This role can be based out of their site on the Wirral or Trafford on a hybrid basis.

This role will suit someone ACA/ACCA/CIMA newly qualified, looking for a fast paced, exciting opportunity which will provide broad exposure across a Finance function.


Responsibilities:


  • Review of journals and transactional work
  • Preparation of Management Information, consisting of P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow
  • Analysis of any MI variances
  • Development and supervision of Finance team with month end tasks
  • Preparation of all grant claims for submission
  • Embedding of new ERP system
  • Set up of new companies on accounting software
  • Intercompany transactions and balances
  • Yearend statutory accounts preparation
  • Oversight of payroll
  • Monitoring of Financial Governance
  • Preparation of VAT Returns
  • Ensuring spending is in line with budget
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Recommending cost cutting methods and strategies
  • Supporting the Finance Director with strategic decision making
  • Insurance reviews

Requirements:


  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 12 months post qualified experience
  • Experience of preparing and reviewing management accounts
  • Sage 50 Experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and monitor budgets

Desirables:

  • Experience working in a fastpaced, startup environment
  • Practice/Audit Trained
