CLINICAL RESEARCH FELLOW (ST3+) IN VASCULAR SURGERY 1 POST

Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Research Fellow in Vascular surgery for a period of 24 months commencing 5 August 2026 in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. The appointee(s) will be expected to perform at a level equivalent to that of ST3 or above. They will be supervised by a consultant at all times. The successful applicant will be expected to undertake a period of research towards a higher degree, specifically a Doctorate of Medicine with The University of Glasgow. This is a self‑funded degree.

The post is based in Ninewells Hospital and will involve exposure to emergency vascular surgery. The successful applicant will participate in full on‑call duties for vascular surgery on, approximately, a one in eight frequency that includes weekends/nights (on call shifts are from hrs, nights hrs).

Education and Supervision

A clinical and research educational programme for the fellow will be established tailored to their individual requirements and project aims. A personal development plan and educational agreement will be documented. An assigned educational/research supervisor will be assigned. Outcomes will be recorded on ISCP and through thesis monitoring via University of Dundee.
