We are currently looking for an experienced, part or fully qualified Accountant looking to join an established, progressive SME in a Group Accounting Manager role.

You must have experience of working in a multi-currency finance environment and have demonstrableexperience of producing consolidated management accounts.

This is a newly created position within their global finance team reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. You must be a strong communicator and be comfortable challenging the norm. Taking ownership for the monthly group accounting deliverables,this role requires a practical and hands-on approach.

Proactive and continuous improvement of processes, workflows and outputs will be an essential part of the role to support and create a successful and progressive function.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Production of monthly Group management accounts
  • Managing the consolidation and production of regional reporting
  • Analysing, investigating and resolving actual vs target variances
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Management of Group journals
  • Managing the intercompany recharge process and procedures
  • Coordinating the intercompany invoicing, payments and reconciliations
  • Financial Reporting and Budgeting
  • Providing trend analysis and risk assessments to support ongoing budget management
  • Group Cashflow forecasting
  • Managing the inputs from the local finance teams and preparing variance analysis and commentary
  • Yearend Financial Reporting including production of yearend finance packs for audit

Experience and personal attributes required:


  • Previous experience in managing multicurrency consolidations
  • Advanced Excel skills, experience of working with complex financial models
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with a sound understanding of FRS10
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) at all levels
  • Experience of working with remote team members
  • You will be either a qualified accountant, a finalist, or qualified by experience
