About the role


As the Research Grants Officer responsible for research grants you will hold a key position in the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences (NDS), Business Administration Unit.

NDS currently hosts academics from every surgical discipline who undertake both basic and translational research, reflecting our true multidisciplinary dimension and integrating surgical practice with cutting-edge science.


You will be based in the John Radcliffe Hospital as your normal place of work, but you may be able to agree a pattern of some regular remote working with your line manager.


About you


You will have aptitude for working with figures and must be well organised, reliable, accurate and able to pay a high level of attention to detail.

Computer literacy and the ability to produce work consistently to a high standard within tight deadlines is essential for this role.


Previous knowledge of research grants, Oracle financials software or a grants costing tool would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be given.
