Trust Junior Clinical Fellow Post (ST1/2 Level) in General Paediatrics

The opportunity has arisen for a Trust Fellow Post in General Paediatrics Full Time. The post will commence on 05 April 2023 for four months.

The post holder would take part in the General Paediatric middle grade Rota.

The post holder would be offered the same training opportunities as the doctors in training on the rota with dedicated teaching sessions, educational supervision and opportunities for study leave.

Lewisham Hospital has a long track record in supporting its doctors who are not on the paediatric training scheme and supporting them where appropriate in successful entry to paediatric run through training.


The hospital is located on a number of bus routes and there are a quarter hourly train services into Central London from Ladywell Station.

There is a wide variety of housing available in the area.

Many of the consultant staff lives in nearby Greenwich, Blackheath, Bromley or Beckenham where there are good shopping areas and schools.

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualifications
  • Full current GMC registration
  • MRCPCH Part 1

  • F1 year & previous F2 or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of motivation to work with children
  • Evidence of participation in teaching and Audit
  • Appropriate level of knowledge in medicine
  • Ability to use Library and databases
  • At least 6 months previous substantive NHS Service
  • Either previous A&E,
General practice or paediatric experience
