Job Title:
Part-Time Instructor (After-School Clubs, Evening/Weekend Classes, Home Education Sessions, and Camps)

Job Description:
Engineering for Kids is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Instructor.

The role involves delivering engaging and educational STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) lessons to children aged 5-15 in various settings, including after-school clubs, evening/weekend classes, home education sessions, and camps.


Requirements:


  • Passion for working with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate children of various ages and abilities.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Own transport and willingness to travel to different locations as required.
  • Previous experience working with children in a teaching or coaching capacity is desirable.
  • Background or interest in engineering, robotics, or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities:


  • Plan and deliver handson STEM lessons and activities according to the Engineering for Kids curriculum.
  • Engage and inspire children to explore the world of engineering, robotics, and technology through fun and interactive learning experiences.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment conducive to creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants during classes and activities.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate lesson plans, materials, and logistics.
  • Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding program updates, student progress, and feedback.
  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of equipment and materials before and after each session.
  • Attend training sessions, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities as required.

Schedule:

  • Parttime hours, including weekdays (afterschool hours), evenings, weekends, and occasional weekdays for home education sessions and camps.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and locations based on program needs.
