Millyard Peoples is delighted to be partnering with a charity based in Glasgow looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner.
The charity is looking for a skilled Finance Business Partner, who will work closely with the operational teams and service lines to support meaningful decision making.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Understand and be involved in the development of the strategic direction of the organisation.
- Create and issue month end reporting, discussing results with the Senior Management team.
- Work in partnership with the Operational Director and Heads of Service to develop an indepth knowledge of the service delivery areas and to assist with timeous and strategic budget preparation and advice so that services can be maintained and developed.
- Be involved in business and planning meetings in partnership with the Senior Management team. Negotiate with key stakeholders and support staff to ensure agreed outcomes and timescales are achieved.
- Work with the wider finance team to improve communication, business protocols and business efficiency throughout the organisation and to share specialist knowledge as appropriate.
- Provide key financial support to internal and external audits, ensuring compliance is maintained at all times.
The Finance Business Partner position requires a Finance professional preferably with a minimum of 4 years' experience gained working in a charity, industry or the profession.
You will have excellent communication skills, be passionate about adding value to an organisation and with impactful and meaningful financial analysis will support Senior Leaders make key decisions.
Experience
- Proven experience of finance business partnering / management accounting
Qualifications
- Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
- Relevant professional qualification
- CCA/CA/CIMA/ACA or qualified by experience
Knowledge & Skills
- A thorough understanding of budgeting, financial analysis and monthly financial reporting
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical skills, with the capacity to think objectively and demonstrate sound judgement
- Ability to provide constructive challenge and feedback to internal stakeholders
- Good attention to detail, and maintenance of accurate records and work papers
- High standards of ethics and integrity, particularly when handling confidential or sensitive information
- Ability to manage and mentor junior members of staff
Job Types:

Part-time hours: 37.5 per week
Salary:
£46,000.00-£53,000.00 per year
