About the role:

The post-holder will work on collaborative biocomputing projects with supervisor Prof Anthony Brookes.

You will work in a team to help operate software within UK and EU-wide information-management solutions, in federated architectures, to support data sharing infrastructure projects that use and devise global data standards.

The general focus will be on enabling health-related data exploitation in dementia, rare disease and genetics.

Part of this will be undertaken within the University's "Health Data Research UK (HDR-UK)" facility, within the Prof Brookes research team.

Other activities will occur as part of large European consortia (e.g., EJP-RD, Solve-RD, EPND) in support of health data research and utilisation.


In this role you will be liaising with various teams both internally and externally and will assist and coordinate project partners encouraging an extensive interchange of information between them and monitor the progress of the group.

This means you will need to develop a network of contacts, manage and organise local and international meetings and contribute to various project management meetings.


About you:


You must be an excellent communicator, able to deliver complex information clearly, with experience of communicating research to academic audiences through creative and non-traditional formats.
