Following the retirement of our current CEO, this is an unique and rewarding opportunity as CEO to further develop our emerging Trust on the beautiful North Yorkshire Coast and Vale of Pickering.

We are looking for a visionary and committed leader who can inspire staff to continue the growth of our Trust and to serve the young people in our communities.

Our new CEO will be committed to:

Continuing the evolution of Coast and Vale Learning Trust (CVLT), while recognising the journey travelled so far
Ensuring that all the current schools continue their journey towards being at least Ofsted 'Good'
Leading the Trust's SLT and working closely with the Trust Board and the Chair of the Trust in providing strategic direction for our emerging Trust
Acting as the Chief Accounting Officer and ensuring the financial soundness of the Trust
Working with External Agencies, such as, ESFA, DfE and the North Yorkshire Local Authority
Having overall responsibility for standards of education across the Trust

Our new CEO will have:

The passion to build great schools that put the needs of the learners of our region at the heart of them
A successful, significant and demonstrable track record of strategic leadership experience within an education setting, which includes achieving rapid and sustained improvement
The ability to put together and inspire a highly effective team to support both educational improvement and provide support services, as well as experience of successful working with Local Governing Committees and Trustees
A successful track record of strategic planning and human and financial resource management
The ability to work with a variety of external stakeholders, at the local, regional, and national level
Experience across a range of school types and sizes
Successfully led significant organisational change
Experience managing and promoting the reputation of the Trust to networks and external stakeholders
