Our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation partner with a range of global customers, working closely with major airlines such as British Airways, easyJet, Wizz Air, Iberia, Vueling, Air Canada, Etihad and Qatar.

What will I be doing?


Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the purpose of this role is to provide customs and logístical support to the Business, ensuring regulatory compliance is maintained at all times.

Imports

  • Day to Day administration duties relating to import and export of goods under IPR/Home/Airworthiness and potentially under export control regimes.
Understanding of the latest Customs procedures.

Able to make key decisions on which customs regime to import / export goods.

Understanding of Incoterms 2020 Rules.

Understanding of Customs Entry Declaration.

Manage relevant paperwork against the different requirements for each customs regime.

  • Schedule and manage Transport, Liaising with freight forwarders, road haulier, and customs. (road and air)
  • Raise certificate of Origin with the Chamber of Commerce
  • Support Logistics Manager and customers in export control matters, helping to complete Export Control Classification Declaration (ECCD), End User Undertaking (EUU).
  • Assist Logistics Manager when being audited by HM Revenue and Customs and The Department for Trade. (Export Control Organisation)
Exports

  • Ensuring that all dispatched goods are compliant with export control regulations.
  • Preparation of export documentation for all shipments and updating of systems accordingly.
  • Ensure the receipt of all export documents from shipping agents and the correct filing of documentation with import records.
  • Ensure that all shipments are vetted as appropriate for accuracy and compliance with both IPR and export licensing requirements prior to dispatch.
This position is on a job share basis that will require flexibility in covering all instances of absence.

Job requirements:

What do you need from me?

  • Good working knowledge of import and export regulations including IPR, Airworthiness and UK/US military export licenses.
  • You will have experience in a similar role, ideally within an aerospace / AS9001 environment, but other process driven environments may be considered.
  • Understanding of worldwide customs procedures
  • Understanding of the Customs Entry Declaration.
  • Awareness of Incoterms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excel/Word.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work well in a pressurised environment.
  • Able to be flexible and to work on your own initiative.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Able to provide a high level of customer service.
  • At least three years practical standard of competence /experience on customs matters.
