The Opportunity


Arcadis Gen are recruiting for a People Business Partner, ideally with global experience, to join the organisation on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting role to be part of a young global organisation which is growing rapidly.


We want to build our People and Culture function to deliver the cultural and people component by supporting the development and implementation of people programs aligned with Gen's strategic objectives.

Our People are at the centre of our ethos as a business, which is why we call our line managers 'Coaches' and why we are driving a culture which is values-focussed, feedback oriented and high on accountability.


The People Business Partner will establish trusted and influential relationships with Gen's leadership members (Gel) and their leaders to deliver strategic people priorities and provide front line advisory on people initiatives and programs with a strategic people or business impact.

They will collaborate with other Business Partners and the People Services Specialist to support the delivery of the total employee experience within a geographic area.

The role will support the Chief of People and Culture and Head of People Operations to build an inclusive high performing organization, in line with the strategic people and culture direction.

The People Business Partner responsibilities are varied and challenging, and include the ownership of the following activities:

Organization Effectiveness & Transformation Leader

  • Facilitate discussions around change and transformation in your business area.
  • Deliver all annual People processes and programs such as Lattice, talent reviews, salary review within the function and global region (where applicable).
  • Work to improve the effectiveness of people metrics in the function, aiming to increase retention and engagement whilst ensuring we fulfil our ambitions to be a diverse and inclusive employer.
  • Conduct exit interviews with employees developing a deeper understanding into attrition and providing a positive leaving experience.
  • Support the delivery of highlevel change programmes, which align to business objectives and strategic direction of the business area.
  • Support the management of highrisk complex case work, providing commercially sound advice whilst minimising impact to the business.

Leadership Talent Coach

  • Advise, coach and challenge Coaches on the development and deployment of inclusive talent needs and solutions.
  • Support organisational design activities and ensure people implications are understood and appropriately managed.
  • Work with Talent Acquisition and Coaches to identify and develop diverse talent and ensure we create as many careers defining experiences as possible.
  • Engage with the business to build a sustainable future for Gen through capability building aligned to strategy and capability needs
  • Provide leadership, advice, and services across multiple locations [IK1] [CS2] to enhance the effectiveness of the workforce through identification of key people needs and management support, coaching and development.
  • Provide development for Coaches on how to facilitate team reviews, setting goals and measuring results and how to have regular and human conversations.

Proactive Advisory / Insights Expert

  • Engage with and challenge Coaches on agreed strategic organizational and capability issues that contribute to the growth and competitiveness of Gen and deliver an excellent employee experience on the moments that matter.
