We are currently looking for SHO to work with our trust.Specialties:
The specialties in which an SHO might work can include, but are not limited to:
- General Medicine
- General Surgery
- Psychiatry
- Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Paediatrics
- Emergency Medicine
- Anaesthetics
- Radiology
- Pathology
- Orthopaedics
- Ophthalmology
- Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT)
- Dermatology
- Neurology
- Cardiology
- Respiratory Medicine
- Gastroenterology
Qualifications:

Medical Degree: Completion of a medical degree recognized by the General Medical Council (GMC).

Full GMC Registration: Full registration with the GMC or eligibility for full registration within six months of starting the post.

Foundation Training: Completion of the UK Foundation Programme (or equivalent) or relevant experience.

MRCP/MRCS or Equivalent: For medical or surgical specialties, having or working towards the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) or Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) is often desirable.

Relevant Experience: Previous clinical experience, preferably in a hospital setting, is beneficial.

Evidence of Continued Professional Development: Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Job Description:

Clinical Duties:
- Undertaking clinical assessments of patients.
- Formulating diagnoses and management plans under supervision.
- Participating in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Performing practical procedures relevant to the specialty.
- Providing outofhours cover as required.
Educational Responsibilities:
- Providing supervision and support to more junior members of the team, such as foundation doctors and medical students.
- Participating in teaching activities, including presentations, tutorials, and clinical skills sessions.
Administrative Tasks:
- Completing patient records and other administrative documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participating in audits and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
Professional Development:
- Engaging in ongoing training and development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Maintaining professional standards and adhering to the GMC's Good Medical Practice guidelines.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay:
£45.00-£55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 per week

- No weekends
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
