MTS Logistics Ltd are a family-led Logistic and Warehousing company.With 150,000 Sq Ft of warehouse at our immediate disposal, we serve as a national or regional hub for multi-national organisations and provide an ideal overflow for local businesses.
Main Responsibilities include:
- Operating a FLT (Counterbalance) to support smooth operation within the warehouses
- Liaise with Site supervisors across the 3 main locations, ensuring a consistent and safe model of work
- Operating a variety of IT-Systems as required
- Ensuring team are using correct reports, scanning / filing paperwork in a consistent manner
- Liaising with Transport team to ensure customer orders are planned in a timely manner
- Maintain and control effective usage of PPE for team members
- Support with departmental communication with nonoffice based team members
- Support with introduction of new software and support rollout on an adhoc basis
- Completing daily walkaround checks, ensuring the safe intake of all materials within the warehouse
- Ensure team members are safely loading and unloading vehicles maintaining safe handling
- Weekly inspections of fire equipment, including fire alarms, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers are kept in a safe and secure way
- Liaising with the Warehouse Manager to complete weekly stock inspections for defect damage or deterioration of goods
- Support Warehouse manager in deciding storage conditions and allocating warehouse space for existing customers and identifying any opportunities for growth
The ideal working week will be 20:00 - 06:00, Monday evening to Saturday morning with flexibility at weekends for planned overtime.
