Client Account Manager - City of London, United Kingdom - Reed Accountancy
Description
A fantastic opportunity is available to join a leading fund management and corporate services firm based in central London who require an experienced PQ Client Account Manager with excellent accounting knowledge as you will be dealing with a key portfolioof clients and will assist with financial statements under UK GAAP & IFRSs.
Please Note:
You will need to be a part qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) ideally with a background in financial services with some management experience.
Core Duties:
- Maintaining the books and records of the companies in their portfolio.
- Preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts, preparation of annual statutory
- Ensures the timely filing of the financial statements and financial reports at the appropriate body and if applicable to the appropriate stakeholders ensuring compliance with IFRS or UK GAAP.
- Ensures the presence of a client serviceoriented culture by timely (24h) responses to client requests, personal attention, complaint follow up and monitors the professionalism in
- Calculating effective interest rates of financial instruments.
- Understanding the transaction documentation and ensuring it is adhered to.
- Liaising directly with auditors and managing audit process to ensure deadlines are met.
- Preparation of the ixbrl tagging process, ensuring their accuracy before submitting to the tax agent for filing with HMRC.
- Preparation of tax declarations to UK tax authorities (VAT, P11D assistance, CIS, Intrastat, EC Sales List).
- Liaise with outside Tax Advisors ensuring corporate tax returns are completed and filed timely.
- Communicating professionally with clients, their banks and other thirdparty providers to source all required information.
- Continual assessment of procedures and controls and implementing process improvement as necessary.
Your Experience & Skills Required:
Part qualified accountant (ACCA).
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP (FRS102) accounting standards, including IAS39 Financial Instruments Disclosure.
- Relevant experience within an accounting or corporate services provider environment.
- A highly credible individual with intellectual ability and a handson approach.
- A high performer and with a proven track record of delivering results and demonstrating leadership.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Understanding of VAT and experience in preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team, both within finance and a multidisciplinary setting.
- The ability to be flexible, proactive and prioritise in order to meet deadlines within the context of a demanding workload.
- A strong desire to exceed expectations.
- The ability to prioritise effectively in order to meet conflicting deadlines within the context of a demanding workload.
