We are recruiting qualified Careers Consultants with extensive and recent experience of working in Higher Education with undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and graduates.


About the role:


As a Careers Consultant you will provide proactive consultancy services to the University's faculties and service departments preparing students for the world of work through the development and delivery of innovative career management and employability skills initiatives, and provide careers information, advice and guidance to students and graduates enabling them to make informed career decisions and develop appropriate career strategies to compete in the job market.


You will be joining the Careers+ service and it is anticipated you will be working with students from the Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences, or the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment.

The students and Faculties you work with may change over time depending on business need.


You will be skilled in building successful professional relationships; developing, delivering, and measuring the impact of training programmes and initiatives; with experience of using technology to enhance and scale up service delivery.


As a key member of a Careers+ team you will work collaboratively with your Careers+ colleagues and faculty teams to achieve the best outcomes for students.

The posts may involve line managing and supervising staff and experience in this area is desirable.
