The Growth Company's (GC) Business Growth Hub (BGH) has an exciting new opportunity for an Enterprise Executive to plan, promote, and implement the EnterprisingYou business workshops & events aimed at individuals across Greater Manchester wanting to start their own businesses.


The role will provide support to the Senior Advisor to continuously refresh the workshops & events ensuring they meet the needs of clients with regards to content and how they are delivered ensuring each of the Local Authority areas a programme of events delivered across a range of sites.

Since 2011, the Hub has supported more than 15,000 businesses including start-ups, scale-ups and established businesses, providing finance guidance, creating international links, and paving the way for innovation and people development across the region.

We work with the best of public and private partners, offering expert one-to-one and peer-to-peer business support, events, specialist programmes, funding and much more.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work independently to plan, organise and coordinate the delivery schedule for onetomany startup workshops.
  • Lead on working with key partners and stakeholders to source suitable venues and maximise the startup workshop & events budget.
  • To work closely with the business development & marketing teams to ensure the Start-Up workshops & events are promoted to ensure strong attendance at all startup workshops & Events. Required to proactively resolve issues and barriers to workshop delivery.
  • To register all eligible startup clients onto the workshops and complete the necessary paperwork that is compliant with the funders.
  • Input all client registration forms onto the CRM system to ensure accurate reports can be produced by the business intelligence and contracts teams.
  • To attend workshops to support the senior startup advisor with setting up the rooms or virtual platform and to get the feedback sheets completed by all the delegates who attend on the day and produce a monthly overview of the key feedback findings for the senior startup advisor.
  • To work with the senior Start-Up advisor to identify which clients need to be referred to an enterprise specialist for onetoone business support and to follow the CRM referral process and record onto the CRM.

  • Knowledge and understanding of public sector funding
  • Understanding of customerfocused approach of working with individuals/businesses to foster engagement and encourage commitment.
  • Good general knowledge of the 10 local authorities in the greater Manchester region
