Description

We are looking for an experienced Nurse to manage the Healthcare Team at HMP Cardiff, in the heart of Wales' capital city.

You will provide day to day leadership, management of resources and supervision to the team delivering Primary health assessment and interventions within HMP Cardiff.


You will need to be able to forge positive working relationships with the wider prison team, addictions services and Mental Health services and provide expert support to the health Condition management in conjunction with both Health and Criminal Justice colleagues.

You will need well developed communication skills and need to be resilient in working in a fast paced, high pressured environment.

You will also need to provide professional nursing leadership within the team.


In turn you will receive support from a well-established and developing Primary care team within Cardiff and the Vale and access to training and development opportunities in the speciality across South Wales and nationally.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
