Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor

Job Summary


The role of the Affinity HSE Advisor is to support the Business Services Manager in establishing and maintaining Health, Safety and Environmental practices, procedures, and policies to reduce the risk of accidents, injuries, and health related problems across all Affinity locations in line with existing legislation and best practice.

  • Analysis of safety related data and a questioning/problem solving mind.

Core responsibilities and Duties/Skills

  • Leading safety awareness training sessions for employees on topics such as safe working procedures, hazardous materials, and accident prevention techniques.
  • Regular HSE Site/Activity audits.
  • Communicating with other departments within the company regarding safety issues that may affect them.
  • Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to prevent workplace accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
  • Conducting investigations into accidents, injuries, or illnesses in order to identify causes and recommend solutions for preventing recurrence.
  • Performing risk assessments to determine the potential for accidents or injuries in specific activities or work settings.
  • Monitoring compliance with safety regulations to ensure that workers' rights are protected.
  • Advising managers about effective ways to manage their teams in a safe manner.
  • Reviewing employee injury reports and identifying any recurring problems or hazards that may need to be addressed by engineering or administrative staff members.
  • Creating and maintaining safety training materials for employees and contractors.

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months


Salary:
£42,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
