Stock & Systems Controller - Aylesbury Central, United Kingdom - Rexel
Description
You will be part of a team responsible for the Distribution Centre stock control and Warehouse Management System configuration to support accurate and efficient warehouse operations.
The Role:
- As a Stock & Systems Controller for Rexel, your main responsibilities will be to:_
- Configuration and maintenance of Warehouse Management System ensuring stock, space and planning optimisation is accurate to achieve a high level of service
- Part of a team of super users who will help test UAT scripts for the Warehouse Management System.
- To provide support and advice to operational users for WMS related queries and triage issues before logging defects with IT.
- Plan and control the transfer of stock between all locations ensuring that the correct date rotations are met
- Ensure the routines of layout maintenance, housekeeping processes and health checks are completed in line with the agreed schedules
- Coordinate cycle counting disciplines and producing analytical data from the results that identifies trends and recommends corrective action
- Monitor the capture and validate the accuracy of item data for use in the WMS and carry out corrective actions for capacity issues.
- Advise management of problems which may affect operational performance
- Take ownership for adherence by self and other team members to company Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality processes within the operation
- Undertake such additional activities as may be required.
The Person:
- As a Stock & Systems Controller for Rexel, you will need:_
- Experience of working within a stock and systems role
- Have experience of stock control management gained in a fastpaced environment.
- Have WMS knowledge with roll out/upgrade experience ideal.
