Finance Assistant - 12 Month FTC

Consulting & Professional Services, London EC2 with hybrid working

£26,000 - £30,000 pro rata+ benefits


The Company
A Finance Assistant is sought by a leading consulting firm operating in the UK and US.

This ambitious business itself an autonomous operating unit of one of the worlds largest and most recognizable professional services groups, provides professional niche consultingservices to a range of global blue-chip clients.

As a result of 25% Y-o-Y growth over the past few years, the group seeks a Finance Assistant supporting the Financial Controller in the provision of payroll related data.

The position will start as a 12-monthfixed term contract as is expected to become permanent in that time.


Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant

  • Preparing UK (monthly) and US (fortnightly) payroll
  • Completing all the payroll related balance sheet recs
  • Managing the fixed asset register and posting the month end journals
  • Managing the temp accrual and posting the month end journals
  • Posting weekly journals to post timesheets against engagements

Skills & Attributes of the Finance Assistant

  • Partqualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / AAT)
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in an accounting function
  • Experience of using Excel ideally with exposure to pivot tables or vlookups
  • Strong task management skills and the ability to see tasks through to completion
  • Attention to detail is critical with the ability and motivation to get tasks done "right first time"
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with stakeholders at senior level
  • Desire to develop with the business and take on additional responsibilities
