As a senior leader, you will be instrumental in data science and business intelligence, crafting a strategy to revolutionize care delivery in Derby, Derbyshire, and parts of Staffordshire.

You will spearhead the strategy's execution and ensure the realisation of its benefits, transitioning UHDB from data-rich to actionable intelligence-driven, supported by cutting-edge data science and automation.


Leading a team of 65 analysts and data scientists, you will collaborate with executive directors, the Trust Board, and other senior stakeholders.

Your responsibilities include managing current services for all UHDB teams.

Provide executive-level leadership and analytical management expertise to ensure a robust programme of work and governance infrastructure is in place.

Effectively manage key stakeholders and interdependent relationships across all partners with emphasis on clinical and medical colleagues.

Provide leadership and direction, identifying and securing commitment to change and engaging and managing stakeholders in order to deliver high profile and complex transformational change.

Lead and develop a best in class data and intelligence function within the given resource constraints.

Develop a team and structures that will lead to a suite of analytical products to support the effective running of the organisation.

Provide insight, through the intelligence and data science teams, to our most challenging problems.
Support the organisation on benefits realisation capabilities.
Be an effective part of the Executive CDIO's senior team.
Support the creation of an analytically driven decision-making culture.
Lead on ensuring the national and regional requirements and standards of the function are met.
Drive innovation through leading our federated data platform 'accelerator' responsibilities.
Report progress to all stakeholders, escalating issues, risks and Programme decisions as required.
Establish an enduring professional and effective relationships and contract governance with third party providers.
Ensure management of resources and funds to deliver within the agreed financial envelope.
