Description
Energy Counsel is seeking an experienced Energy Consultant/ Assessor to join our growing team.


The position will be varied and duties include:

  • Liaising with clients
  • Working with design teams Clients/ Architects/ Engineers to meet building compliance targets
  • Producing SAP/SBEM Calculations ideally using IES
  • Energy Strategy and Assessments and thermal modelling
  • Energy and Sustainability statements for planning
  • Overheating Analysis
  • Passivhaus designers (training provided)
  • Consult on building design to comply with Part L
  • BREEAM Assessments and criteria to meet credits

We are looking for:


  • A 'whizz' on thermal modelling SAP and or SBEM (IES). At least 18 months experience as an OCDEA/ LCEA in an Energy Consultant role
  • Extremely well organised with keen attention to detail
  • An ability to manage your own projects and timescales. This includes liaison and coordination with our wider team and maintaining strong client communications throughout
  • Be selfmotivated and able to deal with a fastmoving, high pressure environment
  • Chartered status, or working towards with support provided to achieve goals.

Experience in the below would be desirable:
SAP / SBEM Assessor, OCDEA, Energy Assessor, IES DSM, Sustainability Consultant, BREEAM, EPC, NDEA, Thermal Bridging, TM52, TM59, Passivhaus.
