JOB PURPOSE


Comfort, Persil, Omo, Cif, Domestos, Lysoform are amongst the world's most recognizable home care brands developed by Unilever's Global Development Centre in the North-West of the UK.

This role is an amazing chance to be part of the HC R&D team that support the EU clusters as part of the EMETU HC BU and partners closely with Procurement and Supply Chain to deliver new and winning product innovations into our European markets.

Within this team there is a permanent position in the formulation, materials, and specification management team.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Spec creation support to R&D teams in the execution and delivery of category program (Innovation, Renovation, Value Improvement, SC support)
  • Lead delivery of specification hierarchy cleansing for HC R&D EMETU
  • Provide leadership for data management aspects in project scoping, risk evaluation, data change management and reporting.
  • Proactive Data Quality review and reporting of HC R&D categories
  • PLM Expertise and Super user support to R&D end users.
  • Support for business audits on R&D data compliance
  • Training Data Governance areas and PLM Ways of Working to R&D end users in HC
  • Manage end to end R&D data interfaces in all systems inked to PLM (AWS, BPM / NeCO, SAP ECC, PIT)
  • Partner with Global Digital R&D (DRD) teams to lead EMETU input into Digital tool design, change impact assessment, risk mitigation and execution)
  • Trouble shooting and Root Cause Analysis of business queries relating to specification, recipes and Bills of Materials (BOM's)
  • Fully operation with all relevant R&D and business digital tools that use R&D data,
  • Be a leader and change catalyst for use of R&D digital tools in project delivery
  • Partner with category teams in creation of new digital tools and R&D HC data insights that support EMETU business

ALL ABOUT YOU

  • MSc in Chemistry, Engineering, or other science area.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • PLM or equivalent data management systems
  • Data mining
  • SAP (understanding would be beneficial)
  • Demonstrate understanding of project management to realize the order, importance, and impact of appropriate project activities
  • Knowledge about management of databases, Power BI, data analytics, reporting and interpretation of results.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge and experience in setting up and maintaining Quality and document management systems or an affinity for working with databases.
  • Knowledge of Home Care products and product development experience in the area.
  • Excellent PC/IT skills.
  • Being able to work independently as well as in teams.
  • Positive and proactive attitude, with an "eye for detail".
