Cleaner

2 1⁄- 5 hours per day, term time plus a week in August

(£10.60 per hour)

We are looking to appoint additional Cleaner(s) to join our established team to care for the appearance and cleanliness of our school.

The hours of work will be dependent upon the needs of the school, however, we currently have the following the shifts available between 2 1⁄2 and 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, term time and a week in the school summer holidays (last week of August).

Option hours weekly

From 1.15 to solely cleaning student toilets (please note that part of this time falls during the school working day when students are still onsite)

Plus

From generic cleaning

Actual salary £11,580.50

OR

Option hours weekly

Any set time period of 12.5 hours between 14:30 and 19:30 to suit you

(e.g. start at 14:30 and finish at 17:00 or start at 17.00 and finish at 19.30)

Work pattern cannot be changed once chosen

Generic cleaning

Actual salary - £5790.25

Previous experience of a similar role would be an advantage, however, not essential, as on the job training will be provided.

Applicants will have:

An understanding of general cleaning processes
A good understanding of Health and Safety
Knowledge of cleaning regulations e.g. COSHH
Ability to establish rapport and to maintain respectful and trusting relationships
Ability to work effectively with other adults in the school
Good organisational and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines
