About this role

Responsibilities:


  • New mandate and/or investments onboarding
  • Coordinate across client teams, legal, tax, GAAPs, RQA and external operations service providers (legal counsel, tax advisers, fund administrators) to launch new mandates and execute new investments
  • Transaction & Cash Management
  • Review and authorize transactional and cash flow activity utilizing the firm's investment management systems
  • FX hedging and management
  • Enter spot/hedging trades to meet funding needs and manage FX risks
  • Performance & Risk Monitoring
  • Review valuations, risk analytics and cash flows utilizing the firm's investment management systems


  • Portfolio Monitoring

  • Design, develop and review portfolio dashboards that highlight valuations & performance, risk analytics and cash flows


  • Client Reporting

  • Work with support teams to develop and review custom client reports


  • Policies & Procedures

  • Formalize and document operating plans, policies and procedures with respect to new product/mandate launches


  • Strategic Projects

  • Enhance business processes related to the team's investment processes and operating model with an eye towards automation


  • Presentations and Meetings

  • Aid management team in organizing and preparing presentations for existing and prospective clients; creating presentations for various BlackRock executive committees and senior leaders

Skills & Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of experience in comparable industry (e.g. investment management, investment banking, management consulting)
  • Experience in the private/alternative market with a role focused on investment management project management/consulting, investment operations (including middle office transaction support and/or fund administration) or performance & risk analytics
  • Demonstrates excellent project management skills as well as a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas, both written and oral, to internal and external audiences
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization and build strong relationships with team members, managers, and senior executives in multiple locations
  • Experience with alternative investments is a plus
