Job Introduction:

six highly motivated individuals who would like to create their own legacy at an independent family distillery.


Main Responsibility:


  • Conduct cask inspection against the quality assessment criteria on all incoming casks before filling.
  • Report and track all quality issues identified in line with the Cask Quality Policy
  • Attaching wood management labels then scanning to capture all incoming containers to track cask history on Drams Web.
  • Moving all cask types via Fork Lift Truck to and from stows within the compound.
  • Report and log all identified cask quality issues to leader to ensure feedback to key stakeholders, and track in accordance with HMRC guidelines
  • Carry out all beer operations to meet orders, this includes loading, offloading, filling, disgorging and cleaning in process(CIP)
  • Complete relevant document to track all deliveries, including checking receipt and dispatch paperwork and attach Wood management labels to all incoming containers to ensure this accurately reflects the transactions.
  • Operation of all quality station equipment such as the hoop driver, reamer, cask end borer.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene by maintaining and cleaning the area.
  • Continually review and feedback on processes and procedures to identify improvements and support the achievement of the strategic plan.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and report any safety related issues in the working area to your Leader or the SHE Advisor.
