Description

The Guardian Foundation has an exciting opportunity for
two Trustees to join its Board in a voluntary, non-executive director capacity.

This is an exciting time for The Guardian Foundation and an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the success of our beneficiaries and who can demonstrate capabilities around fundraising, steering the strategic direction and raising the profile and visibility of the charity.

The Guardian Foundation is an independent charity whose purpose is to promote global press freedom and access to liberal journalism.

Our vision is a world where people have access to reliable information, from a diverse range of sources, strengthening their ability to hold power to account.

If you have time and energy to invest in our growing independent charity, and you believe, like us, that a free press is crucial to a functioning democracy; that everyone should be able to have their voice heard and engage with the media they consume; and in order for the media to hold power to account it must be made up of representative journalists, then we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for a skill set in Finance (corporate Foundation, finances, wider charity, sector policy & accounting) and Legal (Legal & compliance, corporate, charity, legislation, legislative process, governance).
