Description
This high profile and critical role will be both strategic, and 'hands on' and will include the following responsibilities;

  • Set and execute the strategic commercial direction of the group. Including the development of a longterm international growth strategy.
  • Manage the International Sales, Marketing, Product Development and Customer Service Teams.
  • Analyse, assess and drive the sales performance of the company
  • Drive New Channel Development including B2C and ecommerce opportunities
  • Champion New Product Development to push innovation and create new opportunities.
  • Manage forecasting, pipeline development and budgetary/ financial reporting
  • Lead the commercial team, continually developing skills, knowledge and motivation to respond to a fast paced and everchanging marketplace.
  • Recruit and develop new team members to build succession planning and add additional skills to the business. This will include the development of an agile product management team.
  • Champion and cultivate an entrepreneurial and agile culture.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers, customers and other external contacts for the benefit of the business.
  • Collaborate across the wider parent group to create and implement best practices to aid and improve business performance.
  • Work closely with the other board members to ensure the company achieves its profitability objectives
  • Demonstrate strong, inclusive, and visionary leadership, promoting an environment which encourages communication, engagement, team working and continuous improvement.
  • Establish sound personal and business credibility amongst colleagues and subordinates, you will challenge the status quo and act as a compelling role model.

Profile


Seeking a high impact individual with a strong commercial leadership background, gained in a progressive, high volume, fast paced FMCG environment.

This experience will include a proven track record of managing, motivating, empowering and developing individualsand teams, as well as successfully leading product and channel development programmes.


A proactive and natural leader, the Commercial Director will have the experience, gravitas and confidence to inspire the management team to create a 'can do' culture across the business.

With sound financial and commercial acumen, he/she will demonstratesignificant achievements in omnichannel growth. They will be able to spot market opportunities and to act swiftly to capture them.

  • 5+ years management experience in leading Internationally located commercial teams
  • A proven track record in strategic sales, customer contract management, and product development.
  • Thorough understanding of omni channel development strategy
  • Expertise in 'Brand' development gained within an FMCG market
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the proven ability to communicate plans, timelines and priorities
  • Outstanding presentation, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Proven track record in delivering profitable growth strategies
  • Ability to coach and mentor at all levels
  • A 'can do' entrepreneurial attitude, and a 'hands on' approach when required, with welldeveloped leadership, motivational and man management skills.
  • Sound analytical ability with reasoned, well balanced and calculated decisionmaking qualities
  • Drive, determination, and self confidence in their business and personal abilities.
  • The ability to perform under pressure.
