About Our Client:

My Client is a multi modal transport solutions provider.

Specialising in UK to Ireland Transport via Haulage, Groupage and full load deliveries - A local understanding of the market and a great location allows them to deliver a high quality and efficient service.

The Ideal Transport Planner who will be reporting into the Managing Director will have the following responsibilities:

  • Export transport planning on the Irish export desk.
  • Previous transport planning experience essential.
  • Planning both full load and groupage loads, loading at our warehouse in Bradford.
  • Liaising with drivers, warehouse staff and customers.
  • Manage and understand Working Time Directive Compliance and comply with all Transport legislation.
  • Knowledge of customs procedures preferable but not compulsory.
  • Good working knowledge of a transport office environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent organisational and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, use initiative and be highly motivated.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Competent and confident IT skills, particularly Microsoft Systems.
  • Commute to Bradford

The Successful Applicant:

The successful Transport Planner will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience within a previous Transport Planning role (Must)
  • Understanding of Customs (Preffered)
  • Experience Managing Drivers
  • Great communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Commute to Bradford
