Our client is a truly international organisation with over 230 staff across 12 office locations.
Their work spans a wide range of sectors including: residential, commercial, industrial,
pharmaceutical, zero carbon, public sector, healthcare and education.
They now have a fantastic opportunity for a High Voltage Site Engineer to join their team.
- Coach other engineers within the team with site surveys, inspections and fabrication
- commenting, alongside other support, and mentoring.
- Carry out Site Installation progress/observation surveys alongside respective team
- Assist the team engineers with monthly installation inspections and generation of site
- Prepare detailed Site Observation Reports.
- Be able to work with detailed diagrams, plans and drawings.
- Produce detailed As Installed Record Survey drawings.
- Carry out Electrical infrastructure Surveys; produce reports, schematics, and
- Carry out Condition Surveys and issue detailed reports.
- Assist and support team engineers with inspecting completed works for outstanding
- Undertake Clerk of Works duties, liaise with the electrical contractor and submit
- Carry out HTM compliance Surveys.
- Review and comment on Manuals and As Installed Drawings.
- Produce Health & Safety RAMS.
- Attend witnessing/commissioning meetings liaise with the electrical contractor and/or
- commissioning manager to determine timescales, the extent of the witnessing and
- Witnessing duties include but not limited to:
- Carry out final power system services witnessing and verify tested certificates.
- HV switchgear, transformers, generators, and associated switchgear, HV cable
etc.
- HV and LV equipment Factory Acceptance Tests.
- Issue fully detailed witnessing schedules and reports.
- Undertake detailed substation and switch room surveys and produce schematics and
Experience & Qualifications:
- Time served power systems engineer or HV contractor with at least 10 years on site
- Understanding of current CDM and Health & Safety regulations.
- Hold an up-to-date CSCS Card.
- Hold an up-to-date DBS (CRB) certificate.
