The Role


As a Generalist Adviser, you will help a range of people by providing outstanding information, advice and guidance primarily around welfare benefit, money, energy, housing and/or immigration law.

The role will primarily be based in community locations.

You will identify and confirm clients' needs, signposting or referring them to the appropriate services as necessary.


Furthermore, you will:


  • Maintain detailed case records in line with quality and organisational policies and practices
  • Research relevant information from credible sources
  • Proactively assist with communications and campaigns
  • Keep up to date with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
About You


To be considered as a Generalist Adviser, you will need:

  • Experience in delivering outstanding customer service whilst writing and maintaining detailed case records
  • An understanding, ideally experience, of Social Welfare Law advice in either Welfare Benefit, Money, Energy, Housing and/or Immigration law
  • Experience of interviewing clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills
  • The ability to research, analyse and interpret complex information and produce clear reports
Experience of working with clients who present in crisis situations would be highly beneficial.
