The Red Bus is looking for drivers to join our team
Are you an experienced bus driver with a valid CPC card and excellent knowledge of Edinburgh? Would you like to drive our wonderful original Routemasters to carry passengers to weddings, corporate hires and other events?

We are a friendly family business founded in 2009 and we offer good rates of pay for this flexible part time job.

Shifts of up to five hours are paid at a flat rate of £120 and £20p/h thereafter.


About you:

• You are selfemployed and hold a valid CPC card.
• You have at least five years' experience and no more than three points on your licence.
• You are comfortable driving anywhere from busy areas of Edinburgh city centre to more rural areas, including private roads to stately homes and estates.
• You are diligent and take pride in your driving; the health and safety of pedestrians, guests, drivers and conductors is of utmost priority to us. Our three Routemasters also mean a great deal to us and it is imperative that they are well looked after when in use.
• You have a familiarity with or are willing to learn about vintage transport, as you will be driving our 1960s AEC Routemasters.
• You enjoy working as part of a team; although you will be the sole driver on most shifts, much of your time will be spent working alongside a bus conductor. We also take bookings for multiple buses, during which you will be driving as part of a fleet of Routemasters
• You enjoy working with people; we are fortunate enough to have played a big part in thousands of weddings, tours and celebrations with our Routemasters in our 15 years of operation. Our drivers and conductors are the face of the company and play a crucial part in our guests' experience.
