All About YOU are pleased to announce that we are further expanding our support work team, with vacancies across our Children's Services department.


Our Children's Services team provide short-breaks respite for those aged 8-18, with additional support needs, from across the entire Sheffield region.

As a member of our team, you will be required to work within one of our core departments, providing all our service users - regardless of age or need - with life-enriching care.




THE REQUIRED WORKING HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
EVERY SATURDAY (6 HOURS) DURING TERM-TIME & FIVE WORKING DAYS (30 HOURS) DURING NON-TERM TIME. THESE HOURS ARE CONTRACTED PER ANNUM AND ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE. PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU CAN COMMIT TO THESE HOURS.





PLEASE NOTE:
YOU MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK IN MULTIPLE LOCATIONS ACROSS SHEFFIELD.


REQUIRED DUTIES:


  • Safety & supervision of all service users within session.
  • Providing an exceptional standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for all service users.
  • Develop & maintain an environment for service users that is stimulating, challenging and supports a range of activities that are open, accessible, and inclusive of all abilities, while encouraging personal and social growth and development in a meaningful and measurable manner.
  • Provide focused 1:1 support to service users where required.
  • Provide assistance to service users in the administration of medication where required.
  • Provide personal care (including, but not limited to: assistance in using the bathroom and changing of sanitary products) in a dignified and professional manner.
  • Make educated, thoughtout assessments that balance risk with reference to ageappropriate activities, behaviour, and materials.
  • Engage with and contribute to reflective practice, team meetings and extensive recordkeeping for all sessions.
  • Undertake all duties in a manner promoting equal opportunities to all clients, regardless of ability level or possible limitations.
  • Adhere to all responsibilities and policies as detailed in the company handbook.
  • Where appropriate, undertake overtime shifts across both the Adult Social Care & Children's Services departments, in several Sheffield locations, including weekend work.
  • Undertake other duties as deemed appropriate, necessary and within the scope of the job role.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:


  • A friendly and confident individual, approachable by all service users and their respective guardians.
  • Flexible, reliable, and willing to work with all departmental team members where required.
  • Committed to upholding all required workduties.
  • Able to work alone or within a team as required by service user attendance, without compromising delivery outputs.
  • A patient and sensitive nature, able to empathise and communicate with all service users regardless of potential limitations.
  • Willing to motivate, inspire, and instil confidence in all service users.
  • Competent in recording detailed sessional reports, medication reports, and all other relevant admin.
  • Experience working within a caresetting preferred.
