Purpose of the Role
An opportunity to Finance Business Partner across the People, Transformation, Finance & CEO teams at IAG Cargo.
As the FBP your responsibilities include providing comprehensive and insightful financial and business information to support and influence strategic business decisions.
The role will be responsible for driving the business to achieve its financial targets ensuring compliance with all corporate governance requirements whilst maintaining strong levels of internal control.
The role will be accountable for budgeting, business reporting and forecasting processes for all central areas ensuring costs are accurately reported and tightly controlled.
As part of your role, you will be first point of contact for all finance related queries for central directorates and have excellent exposure to the Cargo Leadership and Executive team
Key Accountabilities
- Provide business insight and robust challenge into the key business decisions through regular reporting and adhoc analysis
- Control and management of project accounting activities, including insight and evaluation of project success, production of business cases which facilitates key investment decisions and robust tracking to ensure project control and delivery
- Prepare and track Business Plans, Financial Plans (includes budgeting, planning and forecasting) and Local Targets using appropriate modelling techniques where required
- Control and decision support activities
- Identify, influence and implement opportunities for cost reduction and/or revenue improvement through insightful monitoring and analysis of financial performance within each directorate
- Present complex information in an accessible and meaningful way to focus and drive improvements in financial performance
- Actively build and maintain strong relationships with finance and nonfinance colleagues at all levels Across IAG Cargo, BA, Iberia and other group airlines
- Adhere to all corporate, statutory and regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities for process improvements via automation and standardisation and support or manage the implementation of any changes
- Provide information and support where required to internal and external Auditors
- Provide adhoc information, support and liaison where required
