Overview of Role


Synaptec's customers are in the electrical power utilities, offshore wind generation and industrial sectors, and are typically supplied indirectly through complex partner channels.

The Marketing Executive must therefore deliver compelling marketing content for both channel partners and end-users of our technology in multiple markets around the world, measure its value, and use that to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness.

The Marketing Executive must have a 'can do' attitude, be detail oriented, and take pride in their work.

They must also have the natural ability to multi-task, manage their workload independently and have a flair for making people respond.


The principal objectives of the role are:

  • Execute social media schedule, including creating and posting content to increase engagement
  • Deliver and monitor paid advertising on LinkedIn Campaign Manager to drive volume and quality of sales leads
  • Track the convertability of leads using Microsoft Dynamics
  • Maintain website content using WordPress
  • Create and deliver our newsletter, tracking responses and optimising user experience using Mailchimp
  • Track spend across media and report on results
  • Regularly provide the Marketing Manager with analytics and trends from activity, including Google Analytics, with recommendations on suggested improvements
  • Coordinate and promote events and webinars
  • Update (using InDesign), maintain and ensure prompt distribution of marketing collateral (graphics, flyers, etc) to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure brand is applied meticulously across all touchpoints internally and through partners
  • Deliver adhoc marketing support, such as event graphics, business cards
  • Follow strict filing conventions

Essential criteria

  • 2 years' experience in a similar marketing role
  • The ability to independently executive marketing schedule across a range of platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey technical information in clear and simple terms
  • A flair for creating engaging marketing materials, with customer benefits in mind
  • Selfmotivation and an ability to work autonomously and efficiently, including the ability to manage workload to strict deadlines
  • Excellent eye for detail, and meticulous approach to filing conventions
  • Ability to create and update marketing collateral in InDesign
  • Confidence with interdisciplinary teamworking in a hightechnology environment

Differentiating criteria

  • Experience in managing LinkedIn adverts
  • Experience in Google Ads
  • Experience in Google Analytics
  • Experience in electrical engineering, renewable or power grid sectors
  • Experience in B2B marketing through indirect channels
