Our client, a multi disciplinary architectural practice, are currently looking for a Building Surveyor to join their growing team. Based in West Newcastle, this role will require some office working however can be done on a hybrid basis.

This role will provide a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor to work on a variety of projects. This position will suit a highly experienced professional with extensive knowledge of completing full structural and defect reports.


About the Building Surveyor Role


This role will allow an experienced Building Surveyor to manage their own workload, making the role their own whilst contributing to the team culture and growth.


Other requirements include:

  • Carry out Building surveys, full structural and defect reports
  • Complete Home Buyers surveys
  • Maintain good relationships with Estate Agents in the area to ensure strong working partnerships
  • Plan and organise own workload to meet deadlines and objectives of the team.
  • Deliver all aspects of the role within the agreed timescales.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, letters and written procedures relevant to the role
  • Participate in staff development initiatives and make use of training opportunities available in order to meet both individual and organisational needs.
  • To maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines.
  • To promote and champion a positive organisationwide culture that reflects the Company's values.

About You


As Building Surveyor, you will be a Chartered Professional (ICE, MIStruct, MRICS, MCIOB, MCIAT, ARB, RIBA) and have demonstrable experience in a similar role.

You will have the ability to work across the North East and report into the office when required.


Other requirements include:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Building Surveyor in a similar business
  • A very good understanding of building pathology/construction types/defects
  • Excellent personal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Demonstrable experience working on multiple fast paced projects
  • Proficient in contract administration
  • Strong construction knowledge

Pay:
£35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
