Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in a Primary school located in Hackney? Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to offer an exciting position as a Long-Term SEN Teaching Assistant to start in April 2024.

The Role:

As a Long-Term SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting a student in Year 5 with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Your responsibilities will include providing in-class support, facilitating small group and 1-to-1 interventions, and maintaining effective communication with the student, staff, and parents.

The role is full-time and will commence from April 2024 until July 2024.

Responsibilities:

Collaborating with the SENCO to provide targeted support to the student with SEN
Assisting inclass to create an inclusive learning environment
Conducting small group and 1to1 interventions to address individual needs
Working collaboratively with the school team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently

Requirements:

Experience in supporting pupils with SEN across Primary age groups
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Desirable to have a degreelevel education and experience with Makaton
Experience in supporting students with Global Development Delay would be advantageous but not essential
